Petroleum Laboratories whose capabilities are in Petrographic studies, Rock Physics and Geochemical Studies and the Data Interpretation Centre with Capabilities on G&G data analysis, Seismic Data enhancement & characterization. The Renewable Research Wing supports fundamental and applied research ranging from solar cell material and device designs to plant performance analysis. As well in the environmental research focusing to help industries in important areas related to science, technology and management pertaining to Pollution, Energy Efficiency, Bio-Energy & Waste to Energy and enable the integration of innovative need-based technologies.
Micro grid implementation at CMPDI (A Coal India Ltd. Subsidiary)
The project include establishing rooftop PV installations on various buildings; retrofitting of diesel generators with governors; voltage stabilizers for entire campus; battery backup for entire campus; microgrid controller with hardware; re‐wiring the entire campus substation with auto‐changeover to intelligently select the power source and automatically shed loads based on given priority.
The scope of work was to conceptualize and design the microgrid; procure solution providers by inviting tenders; supervise the installation; commission; and monitor the entire micro‐grid system.
The project was developed and implemented to holistically tackle the power issues at CMPDI Campus at Ranchi while ensuring economic viability and reducing its carbon footprint.
