Petroleum Laboratories whose capabilities are in Petrographic studies, Rock Physics and Geochemical Studies and the Data Interpretation Centre with Capabilities on G&G data analysis, Seismic Data enhancement & characterization. The Renewable Research Wing supports fundamental and applied research ranging from solar cell material and device designs to plant performance analysis. As well in the environmental research focusing to help industries in important areas related to science, technology and management pertaining to Pollution, Energy Efficiency, Bio-Energy & Waste to Energy and enable the integration of innovative need-based technologies.
Pilot demonstration cum performance assessment of 150 TR solar thermal AC project at administrative building of Gandhinagar thermal power station.
The project is undertaken to assist GSECL in the field execution of the solar thermal technology. It also includes making a detailed project report for the client to understand the financial viability of the project which should include savings and payback with respect to the investment made by the client.
The project is to understand the solar thermal collector technology appropriate for the state of Gujarat considering various aspects like weather conditions, humidity etc. Studying and selecting a suitable vapour absorption machine is also a subpart of this project.
Post deployment performance evaluation and monitoring for the period of one year will be executed by GERMI to get a brief learning of the project’s on ground operational behaviour.
