Petroleum Laboratories whose capabilities are in Petrographic studies, Rock Physics and Geochemical Studies and the Data Interpretation Centre with Capabilities on G&G data analysis, Seismic Data enhancement & characterization. The Renewable Research Wing supports fundamental and applied research ranging from solar cell material and device designs to plant performance analysis. As well in the environmental research focusing to help industries in important areas related to science, technology and management pertaining to Pollution, Energy Efficiency, Bio-Energy & Waste to Energy and enable the integration of innovative need-based technologies.
TOC prediction through core data, well logs and seismics
In this project, following methodology was adapted to map TOC using conventional log and multi-attribute analysis :
Analysis of Core and Rock Eval data for TOC behavior within the formation. Conversion of conventional log data like, resistivity, GR, density, sonic into TOC log using ΔLogR method and it’s calibration with core data. Well to seismic tie, mapping of representative horizons. Analysis of log data and establishment of relationship between various conventional logs, generate TOC log, and seismic attributes using cross-plots. Impedance Inversion of 3D seismic data and analysis. Prediction of TOC data from multi-attribute analysis and artificial neural network
