An intensive six-day training course providing a comprehensive details to High Temperature High Pressure Wells & Extended Reach Well Drilling was conducted from 29 th August- 3 rd September 2005 at Gandhinagar in association with Aberdeen Drilling School, Scottland. Aberdeen Drilling School is one of the best-known commercial drilling training institutes worldwide. Aberdeen Drilling School runs specialized courses in Well Control, Drilling Technology, Management and Safety on regular basis.
The aim of the course was to gain in-depth know-how on the technologies, equipments and the associated services to be deployed in HTHP conditions to explore reserves. HTHP wells are still very uncommon and challenging in this era where in oil and gas exploration industry is considered to be at its peak. The course has covered in-depth exposure the cutting edge technology and will help in drilling the well more efficiently .
Training course was conducted by Mr.Gene Wilson , Managing Director, Aberdeen Drilling School and Mr. Ben Juffermans, Sr. Drilling Engineer & Instructor, Aberdeen Drilling School. Mr.Gene Wilson is expert in High Temperature High Pressure Well with more than 35 years experience in drilling and consultancy. Mr. Ben Juffermans has more than 30 years experience in drilling and expert in Extended Reach Drilling.
20 participants from GSPC and its joint venture organization involved in exploration and drilling operation gone through the six day training. Training course was very interactive and interesting. The training would be very helpful to GSPC for their exploration and drilling operation at KG basin. GERMI and Aberdeen Drilling School Jointly awarded all participants certificate.
