Institute of Petroleum Management, Gandhinagar (IPMG) under the auspices of Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute (GERMI) offers programmes addressing the managerial requirement of Oil & Gas Sector. The course offering would pertain to Management, Economics, Supply Chain and Laws of the Energy and Petroleum Sectors.

Institute of Petroleum Management, Gandhinagar (IPMG) offers full time two-year programme leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Focused on Oil & Gas Sector). The programme is organized on the basis of three terms in a year. It is focused on the energy sector with emphasis on Gas/Oil segment. Accordingly, the entire curriculum is designed to meet the requirement of energy sector and more specifically the petroleum segment. While the first year courses are generic in nature; the second year courses (most of which are elective courses) have been designed to cater to the energy sector with emphasis on oil/gas segments. The first year courses, though generic in nature, are conducted keeping in view their relevance to the energy sector. Since, the Oil/Gas sector is global in nature in all aspects; a global business perspective is kept in view in the entire course offering.

Ideally the prospective faculty is expected to have interest in the Oil & Gas Sector and will be in a position to relate their teachings and other academic activities to Oil & Gas Sector. Faculty is also expected to develop additional courses relevant to Oil & Gas Sector keeping in view the perspective of the industry.

Appointments will be made at suitable level based on the candidates eligibility, expertise and capabilities. The compensation package is in line with those of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad - (IIMA) with opportunities of undertaking consultancy assignments and sponsored studies.
